Hope House, Inc. is a residential treatment facility that serves women 18 years and older who suffer from the disease of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Hope House serves three populations of women: homeless single women, pregnant women, and women with children, many who are seeking to regain custody of their children.

Criteria for Volunteer Applicants:

  1. Criminal background check cleared by the Department of Human Resources (DHR)*
  2. Negative TB test*
  3. Valid driver's license and social security card
  4. A negative drug screen
  5. A 30 day training and adaption period. After the training period the Volunteer Coordinator and Volunteer will meet to evaluate the assignment.
*Any expense incurred by the Volunteer for the fore mentioned requirements will be reimbursed to the Volunteer by Hope House, Inc.

Volunteer Obligations:

  1. To provide accurate information during the application process
  2. To complete the expected requirements for volunteering (see above)
  3. To submit to an interview prior to volunteering
  4. To successfully complete the training and probationary period
  5. To adhere to the hours agreed upon by the volunteer and volunteer station
  6. To report to the Volunteer Coordinator any concerns regarding the volunteer position
